C-Quence Technologies Limited is a UK based insurtech MGA, created to deliver a radical, powerful, transformative, and highly efficient way of trading and servicing mid-market commercial insurance. They have authority to underwrite insurance on behalf of a group of insurers and do so using market-leading technology that makes it easy for Brokers to deliver sophisticated commercial insurance quickly, at a lower cost, and with enhanced levels of service than traditional approaches.
C-Quence, officially launched in March 2018, has identified some key challenges in the insurance industry and with a vision to provide technology and data-based solutions that address those challenges.
C-Quence combines cutting edge technology with underwriting expertise and an original approach to policy design and wording that ultimately lowers cost, increases accessibility, and introduces innovation to an otherwise uniform insurance landscape.
Challenges
C-Quence approached LoginRadius with the following requirements:
Technical Complexity
A slick and simple interface encouraging greater customer engagement was one of C-Quence’s key requirements. Brokers are experts in insurance, but not necessarily in technology. C-Quence realized that if there was a complex login procedure, it could be a potential barrier for customers.
They needed authentication that was robust, intuitive, and accessible for all users whether technologically savvy or not.
Cost Reduction
Human intervention is costly in more ways than one. Not only do costs rise as the number of individuals involved increases, but manual processes in the insurance chain simply take more time. All of which means a greater likelihood of human error, which adds yet more pressure on margins.
With this in mind and to avoid the need for human intervention to secure customer identities, C-Quence needed a reliable authentication system incorporating the latest technology.
Data Security
Protecting customer data was also a prerequisite. C-Quence needed an identity platform that was elegant, secure, and would meet stringent compliance requirements.
Easy Access Management
C-Quence wanted streamlined access management so they could focus on developing their proposition with other areas of their business. The goal was to have a frictionless authentication system that was simple and easy to use.
Implementation
The Identity Experience Framework
To meet C-Quence’s requirements, we deployed LoginRadius on the front-end using our Identity Experience Framework (IEF, Hosted). The IEF is a centralized authentication page utilizing a standard OAuth flow, and is fully customizable in its look and feel.
The solution is also fully white-labeled with a custom domain, so the branding and customer experience is fluid when moving through the authentication process.
Standard Login
In order to keep the technology on the front-end accessible, we helped C-Quence set-up LoginRadius Standard Login on the IEF. The IEF can support any desired workflow.
We adopted a simple, classic, and easy introductory approach for customers adjusting to new methods and processes in the insurance industry.
LoginRadius Cloud Directory API
Rather than manually tracking all the users associated with a particular broker, we helped C-Quence implement LoginRadius Cloud Directory APIs to automate searches within their portal.
The result? Each broker has multiple users, and now, all of them are collected with a simple set of customizable queries within seconds.
Results
Long-Term Goals
With LoginRadius, C-Quence is able to capture the data on customer engagement, analyze it, and classify the quality of customer engagement. For example, it is possible to understand when customers login, and how long they stayed logged in for. Much of this information is used to drive the future of C-Quence product development.
Hands-free Service
Knowing that they have a customer identity solution that is reliable and secure, C-Quence is able to focus on core activities and spend minimal time dealing with authentication.
Low Barrier for Entry
On authentication, C-Quence said, “The less we hear about it, the more satisfied we are.” By using LoginRadius, C-Quence doesn’t see the authentication process as a barrier at all.
How did we do it?
The crux of the C-Quence-LoginRadius partnership was to help C-Quence understand customer interactions as an engagement tool. The what, why, and how of customer engagement trickles down into every other aspect of the business, including resource allocation and future design.
By utilizing a data-driven approach, C-Quence can now better understand how customers engage with the platform as they are onboarded.
