What is Kensington?

A Kensington lock is a physical security lock device that attaches a rigid cable from a laptop/PC to any stationery object like a table. It helps in preventing a theft as it makes it difficult for the theif to detach the laptop/PC from from a stationary object. Kensington locks are similar to a bicycle lock htat attaches a bicycle securely to a railing. Most of the PCs manufactured since 2000 have a K-slot or kensington slot.
